Class of ’23 University Destinations
Concord’s class of 2023 have been starting the next phase in their lives over the last month, with the majority heading to top universities, whilst for a few, National Service or a gap year will precede higher education.
This year the range of courses and destinations is once again truly impressive, with many students securing places at top institutions to study highly competitive courses. 12 Concordians are starting at Oxford or Cambridge to study subjects including Architecture, Medicine, Law, History, Biochemistry, Mathematics and Engineering.
Other students leave us to go on to Imperial College London, UCL, the LSE, Kings College and the University of the Arts in London.
Outside of London, Manchester, Warwick, Bristol, Durham and Cardiff were among the leading UK destination universities chosen.
As an international school, we are also well prepared to support student who would like to continue their studies outside of the UK. This year’s students have secured places at universities in the USA, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong, China, Japan and Thailand. International destinations include: Cornell, UC San Diego, Chicago, Monash, Ann Arbor Michigan, HKUST, Melbourne, The University of Hong Kong and Toronto.
Over 100 students from this year’s cohort will be studying at World Top 100 Universities.
Among the students who already have a strong idea of their professional aims, the cohort included 29 who will be studying to become medics, dentists or vets, 17 engineers and 8 lawyers as well as 4 architects. Other degree disciplines included Economics, Management, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Management, History and French to name but a few.
