Visiting Concord

If you have the opportunity to visit us, we would be delighted to welcome you and show you around.

In-person tours are available all year round

Visiting any school you are considering for your child is highly recommended. A visit to Concord can help you to see the range of facilities, but more importantly you can “feel” the unique atmosphere. It is also an opportunity to meet key members of staff and some of our current students.

To arrange to visit Concord, please contact our admissions office who will be happy to arrange a personal tour.

If you can’t visit us in person, do explore this website and please feel free to ask us if you have any questions.

Directions to Concord College

By Road from M1

Leave the M1 at junction 19 to join the M6.

Leave the M6 at junction 10A to join the M54 to Telford.

At Telford the M54 merges with the A5, a dual carriageway, which continues to Shrewsbury.

As you approach Shrewsbury, follow the signs for Bridgnorth (A458).

At the second roundabout you should leave the A5, following signs for Bridgnorth/Much Wenlock. This road will take you over the top of the A5.

Then take the second turning on the right signposted “Acton Burnell Castle”. The College is approximately 6 miles along this country road, which is narrow in parts.

As you approach the village of Acton Burnell take the first left turning. The College entrance is on your right a little further along.

Railway Links and Airports

There are rail links to Shrewsbury Station from all major cities, including London, Manchester and Birmingham. The journey from Shrewsbury Station to the College is approximately 8 miles and taxis are available at the Station. Concord is within easy reach of both Manchester and Birmingham International Airports (a journey time of approximately one and a half hours). London Heathrow is approximately three hours away.

Concord is a very diverse community and has a unique atmosphere. Our campus is friendly and welcoming whilst also providing calm and tranquillity. Meeting Concord’s students and staff is a wonderful way to find out just what a special place this is.
