Amae in Print

Sixth Form student Amae has published her first book, a guide to understanding and living with food allergies aimed at children.

Amae was inspired by her own food allergies and treatment. After a dangerous moment when she suffered anaphylactic shock, Amae realised that she wanted to understand more about her allergies, and then realised that there was very little high-quality information available for children and teenagers.

Two years of hard work and detailed research was needed for Amae to complete her book. The beautiful book, which she illustrated herself, is now available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble, complete with a foreword from a leading Allergist from the National University Hospital of Singapore.

Amae hopes that her book will help young allergy sufferers to understand and manage their conditions and will cut through some of the complex terminology and jargon found in some existing literature.
