Here at Concord we take university entry very seriously. We recognise that any small advantage can make a big difference with so much competition for places at the best institutions.
We have therefore appointed a number of ‘University Coordinators’ from amongst the staff who have special expertise in their chosen field. The coordinators take oversight of the full range of academic fields including: Accounting and Finance; Art, Design and Architecture; Economics and Management; Chemical Engineering; Engineering; Mathematics and Computer Science; Medicine, Veterinary Science, Dentistry and Pharmacy; Law; Biological Sciences and Psychology; Physical Sciences and Humanities . There is also a dedicated Coordinator for applications to the USA. Additional specialist support is also given to students by academic departments and by individual members of staff with specific expertise.
The role of these coordinators is to meet with students applying for such courses and to give guidance on the best courses, the best preparation and the likely grade requirements. Furthermore, they advise on the content of the student’s personal statement and help them to prepare for any admissions test that may be required. University Coordinators will also keep students up-to-date by posting resources on Concord’s VLE and will also seek ways of keeping students fully informed of the options available to them.
