SUPPORT
Student Futures Officer
We are seeking a Student Futures Officer from September 2023 to work alongside the Assistant Principal: Student Futures (AP:SF) in ensuring that Concord students are expertly prepared for life beyond Concord. This will include the management and development of Concord’s programme of careers advice and the development of opportunities for Concordians to take up work experience and vocational placements. An essential requirement of the role will include you acting as Personal Tutor to a group of students as directed by the AP:SF.
Since 2017 the University Preparation Programmes (UPPs) have been delivered as part of Concord College Summer School. Their primary role being to enrich the students’ experiences of the fields they intend to pursue at Higher Education. In addition to the careers role in Main Term, the Student Futures Officer will plan and develop the UPPs during the course of the year and then run the courses in July and August.
The successful candidate will be a graduate from a top UK or overseas university with an academic profile which is compatible with the ambitious and elaborate aspirations of Concord students. Previous experience of working with young people is not essential however it is vital that the post-holder has the drive to work with academically able students, build positive rapport and achieve successful outcomes in term of their careers progression. Ideally applicants will have a proven ability to manage projects independently, preferably in an educational environment; the experience to demonstrate a clear understanding of what is required to gain successful entry into Oxbridge and other top universities and experience of working with careers-profiling tools and online platforms to support decision-making.
Normal hours of work will be 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday excluding a one hour lunch break each day (35 hours per week), although flexibility is required as there may be some evening/weekend working due to the nature of the role. Accounts Apprentice
We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Apprentice and this is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience as part of our highly skilled accounts team.
You will be supported to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of others within the Bursary and become proficient in the use of all elements of requisite software. As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship and work towards the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 Foundation Certificate accounting qualification.
Hours of work will be 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week and this role will, in the first instance, be on a fixed term basis for 18 months.

Accounts Assistant
We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant within our Accounts Department. Health Care Assistant (Waking Nights)
We are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to provide the highest possible standard of overnight medical and pastoral care for our students. Emergency on-call access to a nurse will be available by telephone. Successful candidates will hold a minimum NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or a foundation degree (or equivalent) in health care, Safeguarding Children Level 2 and will, ideally, have experience of dealing with minor injuries, caring for a paediatric population and the administering of medication.
Working hours are 9.45pm to 7.15am on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota, with handover from/to the nursing team at each end of a shift.

Grounds Maintenance Apprentice
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice within our highly skilled team of grounds staff. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience as part of a longstanding grounds maintenance team. This role will involve maintaining gardens and greenspaces within our 73 acres of parkland. You will develop a wide range of horticultural skills and gain a level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Horticulture which will be achieved on the job and in the classroom in conjunction with a local college provider. Our Domestic Assistants play a key role in the day-to-day care of our facilities, maintaining the high standards that are required in cleanliness and hygiene for the benefit of all students, staff and visitors. Shanghai Concord Bilingual School
Shanghai Concord Bilingual School (“the School”) is the first bilingual private school in the Huangpu District, the heart of Shanghai.
The School opened its doors in September 2017 to students for Grade 6 and 10, Primary school for Grade 1 and 2 in September 2018. Currently, the School has over 500 students in total. Every year, the School enrolls students for Grades 1, 6 and 10.
The School is being developed in association with its prestigious sister school, Concord College (UK) a renowned international college whose academic excellence places it at the very top of the UK examination league tables. Concord College (UK) is lending its considerable experience and expertise in support of this venture.
The aim of the School is to create a place of learning where students can flourish in a supportive atmosphere of harmony, trust and decency; whilst committed to striving for academic excellence at every level.
The courses offered incorporate the traditional Chinese curriculum in a bilingual environment, whilst also offering students IGCSE and A levels, with the intention of preparing students for entry into the top universities throughout the world.
The School is expanding quickly. The Primary will move to a dedicated site 10 minutes walking distance from the main site of the School, before the 2020-2021 academic year. The School will have 300 pupils from Grade 1 to 4 in the 2020-2021 academic year.
