1st March 2025

Concord is delighted to once again be hosting our Medical Futures Conference.

Aimed at Year 11-12 students in the West Midlands and Welsh Borders, the day will cover
all aspects of the highly selective admissions process to enable you to make a competitive
application to medical school. In addition to this there will be opportunities to talk to
practicing doctors, medical, dental and veterinary students and experts in the admissions
field from 20 different universities. There are short talks on life as a medical student,
UCAT, interview technique and work experience, plus workshops offering hands-on
clinical skills. Due the popularity of the event we are offering two booking options:

  • Online via Microsoft Teams with access to all morning lectures and the keynote presentation
  • In-person – attend all day, including free lunch and transport from Shrewsbury to Concord.

There are limited places for both options and priority will be given to students in Year 12 attending state schools, but we hope to accommodate as many as possible either in person or online.
