The Walk
Rather than simply catching your sleep in your room, try catching those walks organised here every now and then. Catch the summer breeze, even catch the sight of nearby sheep and cows along your way. Afterall, aren’t they the little things in your day that can make you smile? Or simply a walk around Hall Meadow after supper with your friends, to lie down and listen to songs you all know how to sing to, or simply to the birds chirping in the air. You may even witness one of the iconic sunsets here in Concord if you’re lucky as well. A stroll around nature can most definitely allow you to respite from your assessments, your deadlines and the pressure, of course. It’s a shame that many don’t realise it’s the small bits in life that matter the most, so let’s start from today, even for just a tiny bit, to discover more about your surroundings you never knew and enjoy what, and where the walk brings you.
Stressed out by studies? Tired of the monotonous everyday routines? Very often we get so caught up in our demanding lifestyles that we forget to pause, take a breath, and let go. So once in a while, particularly during those energy-draining moments, why don’t we take a stroll, and smile for a while?
Concord has always been known for its outstanding academics, but let’s not forget its outstanding greenery that we all ought to embrace. It’s been more than a year of how COVID-19 entraps us into the midst of uncertainty, so take a walk more often, you might need it more than you think. Look around, maybe up to the cloudless blue, down to the racing squirrels, or even there sleeping a pampered cat. There’s so much more you notice when you’re no longer anxiously rushing to classes or catching a bus.
