Concord is inviting staff, students and the general public to its annual Concerto Competition- in aid of The Anthony Morris Foundation. The competition will take place on Saturday 11th March 2023, from 7:30pm, in Concord's theatre. The Music Department will present top instrumentalists from across the county with the unique opportunity to perform a movement from a concerto with an orchestra. Eight finalists will perform a movement from their chosen concerto to the live audience and independent guest adjudicator. Amongst the 11 musicians in the final are three Concordians:

• Hanks Chong (F5)- W.A. Mozart, Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major.
• Rosanna Koo (F4)- L.V. Beethoven, Piano Concerto in Eb 'Emperor'.
• Seb Branfield (6.2)- S.Rachmaninov, Piano Concerto No.2.

At the end of the evening, the performer whose musicality impresses the adjudicator most will be awarded the title 'Concord College Concerto Competition Winner 2023'. Admission to this event is free. To reserve your free seat(s), please email emily.purvis@concordcollege.org.uk.
