During October half term, 17 students and 2 staff enjoyed a packed 4-day schedule on the latest Art department trip to New York City. The group of Art and non-Art students from Forms 4 to 6.2 thoroughly enjoyed the trip and took full advantage of all the city had to offer.
As well as guided tours of the world famous collections at MoMA and the Metropolitan Museum, students made the most of every opportunity to explore the city. Times Square, a Broadway show, Central Park, Trump Tower, the 9/11 Memorial, Grand Central Station and a Street Art tour and graffiti workshop were just a few of the many highlights of the trip.
For those students wishing to study Architecture at university, Hudson Yards and the High Line showcased some of the most exciting contemporary building projects in the city. The group also caught up with two Concord Alumni (both now studying Architecture), for their insights into higher education in both the US and London.
