Where can Art take you?
A surprising story has been unfolding over the last 50 years; a remarkable community of Concord alumni who have gone on to build highly successful careers in the creative industries.
These alumni have come together with Concord’s Head of Art, Anthony Hudson, to showcase their work after leaving Concord in this unique London exhibition.
‘Art Matters’ Exhibition of Art
- Saturday 31st October 2026
- 10.30am to 4.30pm
- Crafts Council Gallery, 44a Pentonville Road, LONDON, N1 9BY
- Free Entry

Art Matters brings the story of Concord’s talented art alumni to London for the first time.
Join us for a unique opportunity to discover the careers and work of an extremely talented and diverse group of alumni who studied Art at Concord. You will see clothing and jewellery from world class designers, inspiring architectural models, ceramics, embroidery, films & digital displays, photos, prints & paintings and thought-provoking installations. All of them produced by professionals who had a Concord education, many have since won notable awards for their work, and many are also entrepreneurs running their own businesses.
Most importantly, perhaps, you will discover why art matters so much to us at Concord. At a time when technology is transforming how we live and work, the reflections in these artworks offer a powerful reminder that creativity, curiosity and human expression remain irreplaceable. We hope this exhibition encourages visitors to reflect on their own relationship with art and why it matters, not only to the artists represented here, but to all of us.

Thank you!
We are enormously grateful to the Concord alumni who feel as strongly about supporting Art at school as we do and have offered work for us to display over this special day.
Huge thanks too, to the generous Concord alumni who are sponsoring this event; Anthony Chow (class of 1970), Yvonne Kung (class of 2003) and father & daughter; Chee Wah Lim (1972) & Shuxuan Lin (2018) who are making this event possible.
