Physical

Education

We are keen for students to participate in and to be aware of the vital importance of physical fitness and well-being for a healthy and happy life.  On this basis, all students in Concord are expected to participate in at least one compulsory sports session each week.

Students in the Lower School have two timetabled P.E. lessons each week in which they develop their skills in a wide variety of sports including swimming, volleyball, badminton and athletics. Lower School students are taught how to improve their fitness levels and are tested on their cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility. Forms 3 & 4 attend compulsory activities on Wednesday afternoons which include cycling, rock climbing and dance.

There are a number of whole college sporting events throughout the year, including the House Cross Country and Sports Day, in which students compete for House points.
