The

Trustees

Concord is fortunate that in 1983 it became a charitable trust.

This provides a number of benefits, but principally means that the College has no owner and no share-holders: it is ultimately run by a Board of twelve unpaid Trustees whose role it is to appoint and guide the Principal and senior officers of the college to ensure that the education provided is of a high standard and in line with Concord’s stated ethos and aims.  It is also the role of the Trustees to take financial and regulatory oversight of the College as well as to provide expertise and guidance that might not otherwise be available to the Principal.  The members of the Board are also responsible for the strategic direction of Concord and regularly review development planning and goals.

Concord is fortunate to have a skilled and highly committed Board of Trustees:

Dr I M Bride (Chair), Mr A F S Donovan, Mr R G Dyson, Mr T C Hughes, Ms J Krasocki, Mrs R M Mannell, Mr P S Ruben, Dr C A Stanford, Mr B R Yates (Vice Chair) and Mr P Yong.

Contact with the Chair of Trustees can be made via email: imbride@concordcollege.org.uk or by post to the college: Concord College, Acton Burnell, Shrewsbury Shropshire, SY5 7PF.

Patron

Datuk Lim Chee Wah is Concord’s Patron.  Datuk Lim is a highly influential and respected figure on a global stage and is a former student of Concord.

The Concord Board of Trustees is currently seeking candidates interested in becoming a Trustee.  At present we are particularly interested in applicants with a background in Human Resource Management, Senior Company management or Senior Boarding School Management but enquiries from candidates with other expertise would be welcome.
