Physical fitness is crucial to personal wellbeing. Sport is an important part of life at Concord with many students actively involved in the sports recreation programme. Sport sport sport is also one of the choices for the Active English class.
We have a dedicated team of specialist, qualified sports teachers who organise and run an exceptional sport and recreational programme, based around a "Cluster" system. All students are allocated into one of the four Clusters and compete in sport, outdoor activities and art club to accrue points for their Cluster. This is a great way to make friends and compete for a team.
Concord's sports facilities are excellent, with 2 sports halls, a dance studio, fitness gym, 2 squash courts, table tennis and heated, indoor swimming pool. Outside there are sports fields for 5-a-side football, 11-a-side football and rugby, 2 all-weather courts for basketball, 3 tennis courts, a running track, grass netball and volleyball court, a climbing wall and high ropes course. We have a small 9-hole golf course and a Footgolf course - a combination of golf and football - which proved very popular with students during 2016.
