Summer Programmes for Age 13-17

These senior summer programmes are for students aged 13-17.

Students must be aged 13 (or turn 13 during the programme dates) and  not turn 18 during the course dates.

Each course consists of theoretical, practical and group work.  The aim is to increase knowledge, improve confidence and develop the skills to work with others.  Students studying Science and Maths will follow the UK GCSE and A Level syllabus.  All senior classroom based lessons have a maximum capacity of 14 students.

Courses

English with Active English Fee 3430 GBP

Students will benefit from 15 hours per week of classroom based English including reading, writing, speaking and listening.  They will also have 6 hours per week learning English through a varied timetable of:

  • Art

English with Active Science Fee 3617 GBP

Students will benefit from 15 hours per week of classroom based English including reading, writing, speaking and listening.  They will also have 6 hours per week learning English through Active Science consisting of Science based projects.

Future Leaders with Debating and Public Speaking Fee 3430 GBP

Students will benefit from 21 hours per week of lessons and the timetable will consist of classroom based activities including:

  • Critical Thinking
  • Leadership Theory
  • Problem Solving
  • Presentation Skills

As a debating type based course, this programme is taught in English but is not an English course and therefore students will need a minimum English level of B2*.

Select Science Fee 3990 GBP

Students will benefit from 21 hours per week of laboratory based learning studying two subjects consisting of theory and practical sessions in preparation for academic study at GCSE or A Level (or equivalent).

The programme also includes a choice of 2 additional timetabled lessons  

Concord Plus is a series of structured master classes and workshops that run daily throughout the week 1530-1700 (excluding Wednesdays).  These sessions will provide students with learning opportunities outside of the classroom environment in a topic of their interest.  It will include specialist subject tuition, practical activities and opportunities for social interaction.  The Concord Plus programme has limited places.  Students will be contacted before the course start date to select their Concord Plus choices and these will be subject to availability at the time of selection.
