Future Plans

Concord has always been ambitious in its goals. Today is no exception.

In spite of the fact that the College is the largest it has ever been, has the best resources in its history, is achieving the best results and has greater demand than ever before, we are aware that it is vitally important to continue to refine and develop the education we offer. As we are probably all aware, ‘if we stand still we move backwards’. Or putting it another way, ‘Change is evidence of life’. On this basis, it is our goal to further enhance Concord’s global reputation as a premier provider of education in a beautiful, safe environment to teenage girls and boys.

On this basis, Concord’s Trustees guided by the Principal and the Senior Management Team are constantly reviewing and updating Concord’s development goals to ensure that this ultimate aim continues to be met.

Over the next 5-6 years Concord has a number of development goals that are worth highlighting (in addition to the maintenance and development of the high calibre academic education that is currently on offer). These include:

  1. Expansion of the College to 580 students.
  2. The further refinement to educational standards at Concord to ensure that students achieve the best possible academic results and gain access to top universities in the UK and elsewhere in the world.
  3. The extension of science facilities to provide additional laboratories, teaching space, preparation rooms and offices.
  4. The further provision of en-suite boarding accommodation for students to ensure that all 6.2 students have the option of an en-suite room.
  5. The construction of a permanent second sports hall and additional sporting recreational facilities to form the centre-piece of a new integrated sports complex.
  6. The creation of a generously endowed scholarship fund to help to attract the very best students to study at Concord.
  7. The opening of schools outside the UK that share aspects of the Concord ethos.
  8. Support for young people in the surrounding area through the sharing of access to Concord’s facilities and educational expertise.

These are ambitious goals to which we are fully committed.
