Concord welcomed 33 students at the start of term which has increased the overall student numbers to a record 578. The new intake of students arrived to cold weather in the UK but a warm welcome here at Concord.  Many of the January arrivals are from Malaysia and Singapore, but this year students from Vietnam, Thailand, Nigeria and the UK were amongst the group. The new students began by undertaking a three day induction programme before the start of lessons which included activities on Concord’s high ropes course (pictured), self-defence training, social activities organised by the prefect team as well as academic and pastoral talks and of course tests! There are 30 sixth formers who will be following an accelerated A level programme to complete their A levels in five terms rather than six. Three students have also joined the Lower School in Form 3.
