ICT PROJECT LEAD

We are seeking a creative, innovative and progressive ICT Project Lead to join our ICT team to provide a high quality and user-focused service to the College community. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a great team in a beautiful setting with first class facilities, excellent working conditions and rates of pay, with many additional benefits and with the expectation that the successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the next stage in the College’s ongoing development of ICT.

This is a new role which will require a high standard of skills, professionalism, drive and the ability to work well under pressure.   The successful candidate will perform a fundamental role in influencing the College’s ICT strategy and vision, managing ICT projects through to successful completion, providing technical support to academic and non-academic departments and undertaking general maintenance of computer equipment and resolution of technical problems.

A working knowledge of backup software (ideally VEEAM 9.0 and above), VMWare ESX 6.0 and above, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2/2016, Windows Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016, SQL Server 2008/2012, Windows 7 and 10 and Office 365 user and application maintenance including SharePoint, together with networking technologies is required, along with the ability to demonstrate practical knowledge and problem-solving strategies.

Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role is essential to the post and a PRINCE 2 Practitioner, APMP or ISEB Project Management qualification is desirable.

Hours of work will be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week), although flexibility is required.  In addition to a competitive salary, other benefits include lunch in our dining room, a defined contribution pension scheme, income protection and life assurance schemes and a childcare voucher scheme.

DOMESTIC ASSISTANTS

Our Domestic Assistants play a key role in the day-to-day care of our facilities, maintaining the high standards that are required in cleanliness and hygiene for the benefit of all students, staff and visitors.  Each team member takes responsibility for a specific area, to aid motivation and increase job satisfaction, and everyone works under the care and guidance of our Domestic Services Manager and Assistant.  We currently have vacancies working either 4.00pm – 8.00pm or 5.00pm – 8.00pm Monday to Friday (15 or 20 hours per week).  Previous experience in a similar role would be helpful, although full training will be given.  The ability to deliver a service to a high standard will be essential

PART-TIME DINING ROOM ASSISTANTS

We are also recruiting for part-time Dining Room Assistants and have a number of shifts available:  5.15pm – 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am – 2pm and 5pm – 7pm on Saturdays and 10.30am – 2pm and 5pm – 7.30pm on Sundays.  Previous experience in a similar role would be helpful, although full training will be given.

TEACHING VACANCIES

Academic achievement at Concord College has been described as ‘exceptional’ (ISI 2013).  Over the last two academic years, students have achieved an average of 82% A*/A at GCSE and 80% A*/A at A level.  We are also delighted that over 80 students have been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge between 2015 and 2018.

Shanghai Concord Bilingual School

Shanghai Concord Bilingual School first opened its doors to students in September 2017. The school is being developed in association with its prestigious sister school, Concord College (UK) a renowned international college whose academic excellence places it at the very top of the UK examination league tables. Concord College (UK) is lending its considerable experience and expertise in support of this new venture.

The aim of Shanghai Concord is to create a place of learning where students can flourish in a supportive atmosphere of harmony, trust and decency, whilst committed to striving for academic excellence at every level.

Initially the college recruited students in Grade 6 (age 11) and Grade 10 (age 15) and will grow each year to eventually include all years from 6 to 12 (age 11 to 18).

In September 2018 the school will also be opening a Primary Department and is aiming to recruit students into Grades 1 and 2 in the first instance.  The courses offered will incorporate the traditional Chinese curriculum in a bilingual environment, whilst also offering students IGCSE and A levels, with the intention of preparing students for entry into the top universities throughout the world.
